Host sekaligus perancang busana, Ivan Gunawan (36) mengaku tak selalu menyebut harga untuk gaun rancangannya.
Apalagi, jika yang meminta tolong padanya adalah teman atau kerabat baiknya. Bagi Ivan, tak semua karyanya harus dinilai dengan uang.
“Kalau orang yang sudah melekat di hati aku, rasanya enggak pantes rasanya aku untuk dibayar. Semua itu enggak usah dinilai dengan rupiah,”ungkapnya saat ditemui di Gedung Trans TV, Tendean, Jakarta Selatan, Kamis (23/8/2018).
Namun bukan berarti Ivan akan membuat gaun yang seadanya. Ivan mengatakan, dirinya justru harus menjalin komunikasi yang intens dengan calon pemakai gaunnya.
“Kalau mendesain gaun itu harus banyak berkomunikasi, harus tahu pesta di mana, outdoor atau indoor. Jadi gunanya kita berkomunikasi sebelum desain itu ya kayak begitu,” ujarnya.
Pasalnya, Ivan merasa tak mau mengecewakan orang yang sudah memberinya kepercayaan. Terlebih jika gaun tersebut adalah gaun untuk sebuah pesta penting, misalnya pernikahan.
“Kita dipercayain, jadi enggak bisa macam-macam, enggak bisa main-main,” paparnya.
