Mengimani rukun iman yang sudah ditetapkan Allah merupakan salah satu bentuk wujud taqwa kepada Allah. Rukun iman harus senantiasa diyakini dan ditanamkan dalam hati setiap orang yang beragam Islam (Muslim).
Bentuk wujud taqwa kepada Allah itulah yang harus selalu umat Muslim lakukan mulai sejak lahir hingga akhir hayat. Terdapat 6 rukun iman yang wajib diketahui dan diyakini oleh seluruh umat Muslim. Rukun iman sendiri adalah pondasi keyakinan yang wajib tertanam dalam benak tiap Muslim sejak dini.
Secara bahasa, pengertian iman adalah bentuk wujud pengakuan yang diucapkan dengan lisan serta dibenarkan dalam hati dan kemudian direalisasikan atau dikerjakan oleh tiap anggota tubuh.
Terdapat banyak keterangan terkait 6 rukun iman yang kerap dijadikan dalil pelaksanaannya, seperti salah satunya tertuang dalam Surat An-Nisa ayat 136, yang artinya :
“Wahai orang – orang yang beriman, tetaplah beriman kepada Allah dan Rasul-Nya dan kepada kitab yang Allah turunkan sebelumnya. Barangsiapa yang kafir kepada Allah, malaikat – malaikat-Nya, kitab – kitab-Nya, rasul – rasul-Nya, dan hari kemudian, maka sesungguhnya orang itu telah sesat sejauh – jauhnya.” (QS An-Nisa : 136).
Selain di dalam Al-Quran, penjelasan tentang 6 rukun iman juga datang dari hadis Nabi SAW. Diterangkan dalam hadits Arba’in bahwa malaikat Jibril datang kepada Rasulullah SAW lalu bertanya :
“Orang itu berkata lagi : ‘Beritahukan kepadaku tentang Iman.’ Rasulullah SAW menjawab : ‘Engkau beriman kepada Allah, kepada para Malaikat-Nya, kitab – kitab-Nya, kepada utusan – utusan-Nya, kepada hari Kiamat dan kepada takdir yang baik maupun yang buruk,’. Orang tadi berkata : ‘Engkau benar’.” (HR Muslim).
Berikut urutan 6 rukun iman yang wajib diketahui dan diyakini oleh umat Islam :
- Iman Kepada Allah
Arti iman kepada Allah adalah umat Muslim harus mengimani bahwa tiada Tuhan selain Allah yang sudah menciptakan alam berserta seluruh isinya.
Selain itu, iman kepada Allah juga diartikan bahwa tiada yang berhak disembah dalam dunia ini kecuali Allah.
- Iman Kepada Malaikat Allah
Malaikat adalah salah satu mahluk ciptaan Allah yang tidak bisa dilihat oleh manusia. Meski tidak bisa melihatnya, namun seluruh umat Islam wajib mengimani bahwa malaikat merupakan ciptaan Allah SWT.
- Iman Kepada Kitab – Kitab Allah
Arti iman kepada kitab – kitab Allah adalah menyakini bahwa seluruh kitab suci yang sudah diturunkan Allah melalui perantara nabi.
Adapun kitab suci yang diturunkan Allah kepada nabi terpilih yaitu Kitab Zabur, Taurat, Injil, dan Al-Quran.
- Iman Kepada Nabi Dan Rasul
Rasul adalah utusan Allah yang diberi wahyu untuk kemudian disampaikan kepada seluruh umat Muslim.
Semua Rasul sudah tentu seorang Nabi, namun Nabi belum tentu seorang Rasul. Allah tidak memerintahkan Nabi untuk menyampaikan wahyu yang diterimanya kepada manusia.
Dalam agama Islam, jumlah Nabi yang harus diimani adalah berjumlah 25.
- Iman Kepada Hari Akhir
Arti iman kepada hari akhir adalah menyakini bahwa hari akhir atau hari kiamat pasti datang dan akan terjadi, dan hanya Allah yang maha mengetahui kapan waktunya.
- Iman Kepada Qadha Dan Qadhar
Arti iman kepada qadha dan qadhar adalah mengimani bahwa Allah memiliki ketetapan, kehendak, serta keputusan atas semua makhluk ciptaan-Nya yang sering disebut sebagai qadha dan qadhar.
