Ponsel Black Market Diblokir – Sebanyak 50 juta ponsel Black Market “BM” akan dimatikan sinyalnya setelah Kominfo (Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika) bersama Kementerian Perdagangan dan sejumlah pimpinan operator telekomunikasi menyepakati pemblokiran IMEI ponsel illegal secara bertahan hingga tahun depan.
Hal tersebut mengemuka pada rapat yang dipimpin oleh Menteri Perdagangan, Gita Wiryawan, pada Rabu (3/7), bahwa ada sekitar 10 persen hingga 15 persen (sekitar 50 juta ponsel) dari perangkat telekomunikasi yang beredar di Indonesia telah teridentifikasi IMEI yang unlegitimated.
Sebagai informasi, jumlah total perangkat telekomunikasi yang beredar baik di tangan pengguna maupun masih di pergudangan dan atau pertokoan adalah sekitar 500 juta unit. Sedangkan jumlah perangkat telekomunikasi yang nomornya aktif digunakan adalah sekitar 250 juta unit.
Pemblokiran ponsel dengan IMEI illegal tersebut di antaranya didasari atas adanya Peraturan Menteri Perdagangan No. 82/M.DAG/PER/12/2012 tentang Ketentuan Impor Telepon Seluler, Komputer Genggam dan Komputer Tablet.
Menurut Menteri Perdagangan, usulan tersebut karena didasari oleh dampak negatif yang diakibatkan jika peredaran perangkat ilegal masih tetap marak, maka tentu saja berdampak negatif bagi perekonomian. Pihaknya akan secara bertahap menertibkan ponsel-ponsel dengan IMEI ilegal. Rencananya, pemblokiran ponsel dengan nomor illegal akan dilaksanakan secara bertahap dalam waktu setahun sejak hari ini (4/7). (TabloidPulsa)
