Kontroversi Miss World 2013 Indonesia – Ajang Miss World 2013 di Indonesia terus menimbulkan kontroversi berbagai pihak terutama dari MUI, FPI dan Kementrian Agama Indonesia. Kementerian Agama berpegang pada fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) dan menolak even itu digelar di Indonesia tahun ini. Hal ini berbeda dengan kebijakan sejumlah kementerian lain.
“Bisa jadi kementerian perdagangan menyebut bisa mendatangkan devisa, kementerian pariwisata lain lagi. Tapi yang jelas, dari sisi Kementerian Agama tetap berpegang kepada fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) bahwa sebaiknya kontes tersebut tidak diselenggarakan di Indonesia,” kata Suryadharma Ali, Selasa (3/9).
Namun menurut Suryadharma, kementerian agama tidak memiliki otoritas untuk melarang Miss World 2013 di Indonesia . Menurutnya belum ada koordinasi antarintansi dan kementerian soal polemik Miss World ini.
Dia kembali menegaskan, penyelenggara kontes kecantikan Miss World 2013 harus memperhatikan fatwa MUI. MUI jauh hari telah menyatakan menolak keras penyelenggaraan Miss World karena tidak sesuai ajaran Islam yang mewajibkan muslimah menutup aurat. (Kapanlagi)
