1.Kurangi Konsumsi Garam
Memilih makanan yang rendah garam dan kandungan natrium untuk mengurangi tekanan darah tinggi. The National Institute of Health merekomendasikan konsumsi kurang 2,4 g (2.400 mg) sodium per hari. Minum air setara dengan 50 persen dari berat badan ibu hamil amat diperlukan bagi ibu hamil dan janin. Namun jangan minum minuman dengan jenis beralkohol, karena dapat meningkatkan tekanan darah.
3. Coklat Panas Ternyata Mengontrol Tekanan Darah
Cokelat panas bermanfaat untuk mencegah dan mengontrol tekanan darah tinggi. Sebuah studi dari Institute of Human Nutrition dan Ilmu Pangan, Christian Albrechts University, Jerman, menemukan bahwa polifenol dalam coklat mengandung antioksidan, aktivitas antinflamasi. Penelitian Harvard mengungkapkan, minum 5 cangkir kakao setiap hari dapat membantu ibu hamil mengontrol tekanan darah tinggi. Hal ini karena flavanol dalam manfaat coklat untuk ibu hamil, dapat merangsang produksi oksida nitrat yang meningkatkan aliran darah ke jantung, otak dan organ tubuh lainnya.
4. Konsumsi Bawang putih
Bawang putih, terkenal karena sifat antikolesterol yang, juga membantu menurunkan tekanan darah tinggi jika diambil dari waktu ke waktu. Dosis yang dianjurkan adalah 1-2 kapsul yang harus diminum dua kali sehari, jika ibu hamil tidak dapat mengambil bawang putih karena mentah dan rasa dan bau yang menyengatnya tak disukai, maka dapat membeli yang sudah diekstrak. Bawang putih menghindarkan kejang pada arteri, memperlambat denyut nadi dan memodifikasi irama jantung selain mengurangi gejala pusing, sesak napas dan perut kembung. Konsultasikan dengan dokter sebelum menggunakan bawang putih sebagai pengobatan tekanan darah.
