Monorel Indonesia 2013 – Alat transpormasi masal yang canggih sudah sangat dinantikan hadir di Jakarta, Konsorsium BUMN meluncurkan sebuah prototype monorail buatan Indonesia. Dahlan Iskan Menteri BUMN memamerkan Monorel Indonesia tersebut di hadapan Gubernur DKI Jakarta Joko Widodo dan mantan Gubernur DKI Jakarta Bang Yos.
Proyek Monorel Indonesia yang dikerjakan oleh PT INKA dari Madiun inipun sudah dipamerkan pada ulang tahun DKI Jakarta 2013 yang ke 426. Selain Monorel karya anak bangsa, tadi malam juga diramaikan dengan dipamerkannnya monorel asli buatan Negara China. Pameran ini digelar di Tugu Monumen Nasional atau yang sering kita kenal dengan Monas oleh Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Beberapa Pejabat pun ikut hadir dalam pameran ini seperti Bambang Susantono Menhub (Menterri Perhubungan) dan beberapa jajaran direksi PT Jakarta Monorail dan Direksi BUMN.
Acara Pameran Monorel ini dibuka langsung oleh Dahlan Iskan, dan pada saat sesi pembukaaan Dahlan Iskan Memuji Putra-Putri Indonesia yang telah berjuang keras dalam membuat monorel sendiri dan monorel buatan anak bangsa juga dapat bersaing dengan monorel-monorel luar negeri seperti pengakuan Dahlan Iskan bahwa monorel ini sudah di uji coba di Madiun beberapa bulan lalu dan sukses. Dahlan Iskan pun menawarkan monorel buatan anak bangsa ini ke pemprov DKI Jakarta agar bisa ikut dalam proyek Jakarta Monorel.
Pada kesempatan itu Dahlan Iskan menampilkan 3 tipe monorel yang akan ditawarkan. Yaitu monorel untuk Angkutan umum Jabodetabek, peti kemas pelabuhan Tanjung Perak Surabaya, dan monorel untuk penghubung terminal-terminal di Bandara Internasional Soekarno Hatta.
Gubernur DKI Jakarta Jokowi pun sangat senang dengan monorel buatan konsorsium BUMN karya anak bangsa ini dan memberikan komentar yang sangat positif menurut Jokowi kualitas monoreal buatan dalam negeri tidak kalah dengan luar negeri dan sangat bagus jika digunakan didalam proyek monorel Jakarta kedepannya. Namun Jokowi mempersilahkan kepada PT Jakarta Monorail yang menentukan pilihannya.
Mantan Guburnur DKI Jakarta Sutiyoso atau yang akrab di panggil Bang Yos mengaku lega dan sangat senang dengan proyek monorel yang dulu dirintisnya kembali dilanjutkan oleh Jokowi yang dulu sempat terhenti. Bang Yos memberikan Apresiasi kepada Jokowi yang telah berjuang dalam memajukan DKI Jakarta dalam menanggulangi macet.
