Blackberry Jakarta – Tahun 2014 Blackberry dikabarkan akan mengeluarkan Smartphone BB OS 10 terbarunya dengan sandi nama JAKARTA sebuah nama yang diambil dari ibu kota Indonesia. BlackBerry memang bukan pertama kali menggunakan nama kota atau ibukota untuk kode sandi ponselnya sebelumnya sudah ada BlackBerry London, BlackBerry Waterloo, dan yang terbaru BlackBerry Jakarta yang isunya akan meluncur april 2014 mendatang.

BlackBerry Jakarta Dikabarkan Meluncur April 2014. Sayang sampai saat ini belum diketahui secara pasti harga dan spesifikasi BlackBerry Jakarta ini, dari informasi yang berhasil didapatkan kabarnya ponsel ini akan ditujukan untuk segmen low end ini akan dibanderol di bawah Rp 4 juta, bahkan bisa saja di bawah Rp 3 jutaan karena spesifikasinya yang lebih rendah dari Q5. Bisa dibilang Blackberry Jakarta nantinya akan jadi Blackberry OS BB10 termurah nantinya.
Selain memproduksi BlackBerry low cost, Foxconn dikabarkan juga tengah menggarap ponsel hingh end setelah proses produksi BB Jakarta selesai. Pabrikan yang berbasis di Kanada ini juga tengah menyiapkan dua seri baru yang diberi sandi Ontario dan Windermere. Kedua ponsel ini diharapkan bisa menebus kegagalan Z10 dan Q10.
Seperti yang kita ketahui bahwa perangkat Z10 kurang laku dipasaran, dan hal ini mengakibatkan BlackBerry terus mengalami kerugian. Setelah rugi USD 1 miliar di kuartal kedua, vendor asal Kanada ini juga kembali rugi USD 1,6 miliar di kuartal berikutnya
